I first walked into Liannes Latin and Line class in September 2022. I did not know anybody and I felt really embarrassed and nervous as I had only lived in Quesada for a couple of months. As soon as I walked in the room everyone made me feel so welcome and they were all really friendly and supportive. So for anybody who is in that situation please do not hesitate to go along to any of the Latin and Line classes where you will definitely be made to feel welcome without a doubt.

I first started dancing when I was only 3 years old in Glasgow where I was born and I was part of a scottish dance band I only did a little scottish dancing but I obviously caught the dance BUG!!!

After moving to Liverpool I joined a Morris Dancing Troupe Speke Balmoral and had the best weekends travelling all over the north west and Wales. We won many competitions and attended championship competitions in the Isle of Man and Blackpool (such great fun memories). I left morris dancing when I was 17.

In 2002 when I was 35 I joined Billy Martins Dance School in Liverpool I spent five fantastic years there and achieved medals and trophies I made it to Gold Bar level 2.

Since joining Lianne and the Latin and Line team I have made such very good friends and for me who is not a fan of the gym it is the best way for me to keep fit. I absolutely love all the dances and all of the music.

It took me a while at first to learn the steps and remember the routines, as I had not danced for 15 years. I put it down to an “age thing” But with Lianne and the teams help and patience they gave me the confidence and determination to continue when I was struggling with certain dances. For me to finally complete the dance it is the best feeling and a massive sense achievement.

All the other girls helpled me immensely when I was struggling with new dances it really is the best supportive friendly group I have ever known.

I absolute love our dance classes, all the dances and the music. I would be totally lost without Lianne and the whole dance family. It has made my new life in Spain complete and I thank Lianne and all the team for making me so happy and content.

So I would love nothing more than to keep passing on the love and support for all our future “newbies”

I have been a line dancer for over 20 years, mainly here in Spain, but since discovering Lianne’s Latin and Line classes 3 years ago , I have been in my element. The classes are so much fun, the latin feel of the dances are perfect for me.

From the first day I walked into Lianne’s class, I felt at home. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly.

Now at 76 years old I am loving it more than ever. It’s never too late to start dancing, so go and find yourself a class and I guarantee you will fall in love with it.

I have made so many wonderful friends , we are always there for each other. I am proud to be a Dancing Queen, and I hope I will be part of this happy group for many more years. Thank you Lianne, you are a wonderful patient teacher.

I first went to Latin & line on a rainy day in march in 2022 , I absolutely fell in love from the first class! The music the Dances soo different from just line dancing! Liannes Latin style is amazing those hips!

Her passion to dance and teach is 100%. Lianne and Jan are so patient they will go over and over with someone until they get the steps. They are both so committed to Latin & line. I started as a complete beginner and have now moved to a level 2 .

It’s not just the dancing and music it’s the Dancing Queens friends for life! Even though I’m only in Spain for 6 months a year they treat me like a dancing Queen too they are all soo friendly, they are like family now so much that I miss them and the dancing when I’m in the UK!

I starting Latin & Line about 5 years ago and absolutely love it. I can’t remember how I came across Lianne’s classes but I’m so glad I did. I have always loved the Latin vibe and really like that no dance partner is required. We have so much fun and it’s certainly felts like you have completed a work out by the end of the session, mentally and physically lol.

When I first started I still lived in the UK, so back & forth to spain over the winter months but since 2020 and now living here Lianne’s classes are a permanent entry in my diary.

Over the years I have danced Modern Jive, Ballroom & Salsa so for someone who is used to following a partner, this was something quite different. I now have to try and remember a sequence of steps! I can’t lie..this is not always easy for me especially when the sequences get longer lol so having a fun, patient amazing teacher and trying not to take yourself too seriously is a must.

Lianne’s teaching style really seems to suit me and I love the fact that she is a professional dancer and trying to make us the best dancers we can, or want to be whatever our level, and through her have met some lovely people and really real part of the Latin and Line family.

My quote at the start is so true…I’m still working on the believe in myself bit but we are so lucky to have a teacher who fully believes in us. This definitely helps when pulled outside our comfort zone to perform demo dances and going to Line Dance events. Both of with I now really enjoy even though a challenge.

I am proud to be a Dancing Queen and still learning every week.

Thank you Lianne and to your team, especially Jan who started around the same time as me but has an amazing skill of picking up and remembering all the steps and I for one really miss her when not in class on the back wall.

I have been line dancing many years, too many that I care to remember.

I moved to Spain Fourteen years ago and happen to stumble upon Lianne and have been dancing with her ever since. I couldn’t believe my luck that I had found another fantastic teacher as the one I had back in the UK.

Then Lianne started to teach Latin & line. I love Latin music. Cha Cha, Samba, Salsa and Tango. Líannes enthusiasm, Passion and patience to teach dancing is second to none.

If you love to dance but have two left feet she will help you. You can start as a complete beginner and work your way up to as higher level as you wish, becoming a Dancing Queen or even an instructor and teach as Jan and Lorraine have done.

All of us at Latin & Line have a great time with lots of laughs whilst learning new dances. So if you want some fun in the sun, come and join us at Latin & Line.

This isn’t just line dancing this is Latin and line, it’s exciting and fun. It keeps me fit and my brain functioning. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. I did a little line dancing in the UK.

But nothing like Latin and line with Lianne as a fantastic, encouraging, and patient teacher. I look forward to going dancing every week. I needed to find some sort of line dancing (And boy I found it ) thank goodness.

Absolutely fantastic group of dancers. At the age I am (68) I thought I wouldn’t be able to do it. But the team are very encouraging and we’re usually always a happy bunch of friends. So happy to call myself a dancing queen. So a big thank you to the dancing queens and especially Lianne our teacher. She makes it so much fun.

Latin & Line, changed my life ! I moved to Spain in 2015, it was December, the nights were cold and dark, so I spent most of my time knitting unwearable jumpers, watching soaps on the TV, while stuffing my face with chocolate and crisps……

Ha ha, not anymore. Those days are long gone…

Now because of a very talented and patient teacher, I’m proud to say I’ve achieved level 4 in Line Dancing, and so very honoured to be a Dancing Queen within my Latin & Line family.

I so look forward to our dance classes, with a group of people who I now consider very dear friends.

Being a part of Latin & Line has opened up a whole new world to me, as well as our dance classes, we have socials, a night of dancing in a selected venue, and of course our wonderful teacher, Lianne is always there, making it an excellent night. We have also taken part in Fiestas at El Raso, under the leadership of Lianne, we were damn good!

Then our trip to Blackpool UK for the Crystal Boot Awards that was a truly amazing experience, the fun and laughter we had, will stay with me forever.

Now all the above was only possible because I walked into a venue where Latin & Line were dancing, the best steps I have ever taken…..

Oh and has for those knitting needles, if by chance you’re the lady who now has them, forget them, come join Latin & Line, it changed my life, it can change yours .

I moved over to Spain permanently in 2018 and wanted to make friends, while I was out in Quesada I heard music and a voice , which I now know was Lianne my dance teacher it was coming from the Buda Bar.

The following week I joined that class , that was 6 years ago now.

Latin & line is not just a dance class but my dance family, I attend 3 weekly classes and we spend quality time out of class going out enjoying birthdays, pool parties etc, this January we went to the Crystal Boots Awards in Blackpool which was amazing and next April 2025 we are off to Benidorm dancing.

Lianne makes the classes fun and enjoyable you learn a variety of different styles of dancing .

At the beginning you start at level 1 with progression up to higher levels, which I am now learning dances at level 4 .

I am honored to be classed as a dancing queen, I have met down to earth bubbly friendly people that have now become my friends & I love being around them.

Lianne is a great teacher and friend and pushes me to believe in myself and see my true potential.

Hello dancing queen, I am Tania and I am from Belgium.

I started with ballet from an early age. then I went to the marjonets.

Dancing was just my life, when I got married at 19 I started figure skating.

Then I discovered Salsa and Bachatta. Where I also lost my heart to the Spanish music and rhythm that I still dance with my husband. When I was 50 we moved to Spain. And that’s where I discovered line dancing and was immediately hooked.

Now almost a year later, I was asked to become a dancing queen. A group where I immediately felt welcome. Hopefully we can enjoy many more wonderful years. 😍 Greetings Tania T
